Attention all designers, animators, and visual storytellers! PixelTalks is back, this time with Google's Rob Giampietro and Amber Bravo. Join us on July 14 for an exclusive inside look into Google's design process. The pair will discuss how they develop design ideas and use print, digital, and social channels to engage the Google Design audience, as well as offer some insight into how design helps shape Google's thinking about the future.
Creative Lead, Material Design
Rob leads Google’s Material Design studio in New York, where his work focuses on design outreach, including Google Design’s editorial efforts and its annual SPAN Design & Technology conference. From 2010–2015, Rob was principal at Project Projects, a design firm in New York. Project Projects won the National Design Award in 2015. Since 2008, Rob has been a senior critic at RISD’s MFA Graphic Design program. He was an executive board member and vice president of AIGA’s New York chapter from 2007-2009, and he has received creative fellowships at the MacDowell Colony and the American Academy in Rome.
Editor, Google Design
Amber Bravo is a Brooklyn-based writer and editor. Before heading up the editorial efforts at Google Design, she worked as a Deputy Editor at The FADER and Dwell Magazine and as an editor and content strategist for Herman Miller.
